Hypnocat Writing Solutions was formed in late 2021 when Pete and Gee decided to set up their own business. Both are writers and wanted to do something for themselves, rather than be constantly under the restrictive environment of working for employers. After both lost their jobs during the pandemic, it seemed like a great time to set up for ourselves. So we did. And here we are.
Pete has been writing articles in numerous fields for over ten years and delved into website writing around 2017. He produced company blogs and social media posts to attract the attention of potential customers.
Gee is a fiction writer but also a very talented artist, specialising in watercolour painting projects. During 2020, she retrained as a proofreader and her keen eye for detail came in extremely useful for the job.
We are not a large corporate organisation, nor do we want to be. We just want to help businesses produce great content, attract customers and be the best they can be. Because we’re not a corporate entity, we can keep our rates low due to smaller overheads. That’s the way we like it.

As a freelance copywriter, our work is fully remote and we will cover any location across the UK. From Land’s End to John O’Groats and everywhere in between.

What about AI?
AI is the buzzword at the moment and many content and copywriters are rightly concerned about it. It’s the shiny new toy that everyone loves and many people have tried it. Some like it, some hate it, it’s a personal choice.
However, it’s not going away so we have to learn to adapt to it. And Hypnocat fully embrace this technology. We’d never use it to write content – AI-generated work is not only soulless and dull, failing to capture your style, brand tone of voice and inability to speak like a human, but can also be factually incorrect. We’d never put that on any of our clients.
But what it is good for is research and ideas, so we incorporate that aspect of AI into our work. Rest assured, your content is 100% written by a human, completely fact-checked by a human and edited by a human. If it wasn’t, we might as well leave you to do it yourself!
